A mind-body exercise developed in the early 20th century, Pilates consists of controlled movements designed to improve flexibility, build strength and develop control and endurance throughout the entire body. A major focus of Pilates is the core, the muscles of the abdomen, lower back and hips that are thought to be the key to a person's stability. One of the safest ways to tone your body, our mat-based classes emphasize alignment and core development and will improve your coordination and balance while helping to shape long, athletic muscles. Our instructors use both classical and contemporary techniques to create a physically challenging but low-impact class that’s open to all levels.
